Already fitting in just fine....

I found Spencer propped up like this next to his dad the other evening, just chillin and watching a show. Just look at that hair...

Corn on the Cob

Trevor finally tried corn on the cob. I think he liked it..... maybe. It's hard to tell with him sometimes.

At home

We're home and getting settled! He's sleeping a little here a little there, and so am I. But luckily I've got David and Mom here. Mom is hooking us up with lots and lots of good food in the freezer and just keeping things going hour by hour. Thank goodness! This kid can not get enough of his fingers!! It's so funny! Trevor loves his little bro!

4th of July

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! Here are some pictures of our Independence Day activities. We enjoyed the concert so much last year that we started off our celebration again with the Houston Symphony. Trevor had a great time dancing and was actually able to last the whole show. They did some fireworks at the end this year and he talked about them nonstop. The first thing next morning when he woke up he said, "I see the fireworks go BOOM!"

Saturday morning we did a little parade for Trevor to see a firetruck and play with his cousins. He wasn't dissapointed. After that excitement I tried to get him down for a nap before we had a bbq with some friends, but he was having none of that. So we bbqed and went swimming with David's friend Jamin and his fam and then put Trevor to sleep early. So no big fireworks show this year, but a great weekend overall.

Trevor ready for the Houston Symphony (July 3rd)

Oh so strong!

A rare appearance - David smiling... :)

One of Lauren's hand made flags.

Trevor and David settling in after the concert to watch the fireworks.

Trevor a bit overwhelmed by the noise.

The Houston Symphony closes each year with the 1812 overture and they use real cannons at the end.

Neighborhood parade

Trevor didn't quite keep up, but had a great time riding his bike. I usually don't take him out on it because it's too hot.

Loving the firetruck!

Kids cooling off (you can't really see but Carin's taking Madsie and Trev through)

blackberries and chickens

Our friends the Pearts invited us to dinner and go pick blackberries last night for FHE. Mindy taught me how to make her homemade bread, which is so delicious. She made it seem really easy, but we'll see about that when I try it on my own. Here are some pictures from the berry picking and chicken feeding. Trevor loved to hear the rooster cock-a-doodle-doo!

We aren't big blackberry eaters, but I'm going to make some freezer jam out of it. Danelle and I are going to make freezer jam on Thurs. I've made it before and had mixed results. So, all of you domestic ladies out there - share your secrets for either raspberry, strawberry, or blackberry freezer jam. I need all the help I can get!
